How Webfoot checks football and bookmaker records
Understand match identities, capture dates, recorded odds, missing data and the difference between evidence and current availability.
One fixture needs more than two team names
Team names alone do not identify a fixture: clubs can meet again, play in different competitions or have reserve teams. Webfoot uses the master’s canonical match identifier. Conflicting identities stay separate until they can be resolved; we do not merge them because the names look similar.
Capture time is not kickoff
The observation timestamp describes when information was seen. When the source capture time is missing, its recorded import time may date the observation. Neither is substituted for the match start. Calendar pages use a resolved kickoff and display their timezone.
Compare like with like
A first-half market is different from a full-match market. Handicap and totals lines also change the bet. We retain market, line, period and capture time alongside the bookmaker. Historical prices cannot establish the best price available now.
Missing does not mean unavailable
An empty streaming section means no event-level evidence is present in this collection. A payment method missing from a country record is not proof that the operator does not support it. Guides describe the evidence, then show what still needs checking.
Updates and corrections
Completed V2 collections replace previous snapshots after pagination and revision checks. Interrupted transfers retain the last complete collection. Article publication and withdrawal follow the master’s domain-specific English publishing feed. Technical health and unresolved records are visible to the administrator.
